Healthcare top sector for data breaches in first half 2015, Gemalto says

Healthcare has outstripped retail as the most breached business sector, according to a new report by digital security giant Gemalto, equalled only by government as the most targeted by hackers.

The market value for medical records is 10 times higher than the value of credit card records. The reason for this is that when your credit card data has been stolen it can easily be blocked and replaced, but when your medical records have been stolen they can not be blocked. Then you are fully open for identity theft, fraud, etc.
