IoT will never be secure if we don’t protect the endpoint device. But we also need to protect the communication link, and the recipient endpoint, being a server, cloud, hub or whatever. It must be robust, limiting Mian-in-the-Middle attacks, while it communicates sporadically on nonsecure open networks.
