Consumer apps should never be trusted in the corporate environment. For intance do never use Facebook Messenger or Snapchat etc for internal messaging. Gartner estimates that

by 2017, 40% of enterprise contact information will have leaked into social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

Corporate apps must be built with real security in mind. SSL/TLS is not enough. VPN can be cracked by malware, as this report highlights. It is not enough to protect the communication channel. That’s why apptimate.io adds an extra security layer in the app to protect data-in-transit, in- or outside firewalls.
